Canara Pre-University college was started in 1972 and provides education to both boys & girls without any distinction of caste creed or religion. The college provides Two – Year Pre university Education in Commerce (BSBA,BEBA,CSBA,SEBA & HEBA) & Science (PCMB, PCMC, PCME, PCMS).

The college makes every attempt to provide an environment in which every student discovers and realizes his full potential. The college lays emphasis not only on the development of intellect, but also on character building and discipline so that the students turn out to be worthy individuals and realize their goals in this competitive world.

The college has a well laid out spacious campus in the heart of the city. The Laboratories, Library and Reading Room are well equipped and up-to-date. Canteen facility is also available in the campus.

The college aims at overall personality development of its students and lays stress on the development of soft skills of every student. Every student is encouraged to join one of the many co-curricular activities that are available in the college.
